Spanish
2T is the
second in a series of three courses aimed at
achieving language proficiency by shifting the
focus from the learning of language per se to
the learning of subject matter. Students, while
learning a subject matter, acquire linguistic
skills and simultaneously develop learning
strategies. Topics are the organizing
principle for syllabus design and are treated as
points of departure to learn a foreign language.
A full
description of the course is available.
One of the goals of
this course is to move from description and
narration in the present and the past on topics
related to the Spanish speaking world to the
description and narration in the present and the
past of the student's immediate and surrounding
environment.
